★   Our Story

From the Field to the Water.

I served 34 years in the United States Army. I led soldiers through combat, through loss, and through the kind of experiences that don’t leave you when you take off the uniform.

When I retired, I came home carrying more than most people could see. PTSD doesn’t announce itself — it just quietly changes everything. I spent two years traveling the country with my family, searching for what was next. Looking for peace. Looking for purpose.

“I retired as a Colonel — but out here on the water, we’re all just veterans. No rank. No hierarchy. Just people who served, and people who understand.”

We found that peace on the water. And I started Eagle 6 Adventures so no veteran would have to find their way there alone. People kept asking me to bring E6A back. Veterans. Families. Friends. And I finally listened — because the mission was never finished. It was just waiting.

★   The Science

Why the Water Heals.

Marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols documented in his landmark book Blue Mind the proven evidence that being near, in, on, or under water measurably improves mental health. Veterans have known this for generations. Science is finally catching up.

The landmark book documenting the proven connection between water and human wellbeing. Required reading for anyone who wants to understand why Eagle 6 Adventures works.

“We don’t hand veterans a pamphlet. We put them on a boat. We hand them a rod. And we let the water do what the water does.”
— Stacey Corn, Colonel (Ret.) · Founder, Eagle 6 Adventures
★   Blue Space Therapy

Time spent near and on the water measurably reduces PTSD symptoms, lowers anxiety, and quiets the nervous system in ways that conventional therapy alone often cannot achieve. For veterans, it’s not just recreation — it’s medicine. And at Eagle 6 Adventures, it’s completely free.

★   Voices from the Water

What Veterans Are Saying.

These are the words of those who’ve been on the water with us. No brochure captures it better than they do.

“As the Gold Star mom of a soldier KIA and widow of a retired Marine Corps war Veteran, I’m thankful for Stacey Corn’s friendship and the time he takes through Eagle 6 Adventures to provide a safe, fun and quality environment to help others step outside the darkness of war trauma and grief — to enjoy conversation understood by all involved, or quiet peace and solace while holding a fishing rod on the water in the sun. It’s at the top of the best therapy I could ever have!”

Deb T.
Gold Star Mother · Mother of Sgt Patrick Tainsh, Silver Star Recipient · Widow of a Retired Marine Corps Veteran

“I came out here not knowing what to expect. Three hours on the water and I felt more like myself than I had in years. No pressure, no agenda — just the water and good people who get it.”

Zac J.
U.S. Army · Veteran

“Eagle 6 gave my family something we didn’t know we needed. My husband doesn’t open up easily, but out on that boat, he laughed. Really laughed. That means everything.”

★   Our Difference

What Sets Eagle 6 Apart.

A lot of organizations say they serve veterans. We show up, rod in hand, and prove it — every single trip.

“We don’t hand veterans a pamphlet and wish them luck. We show up, we gear up, and we get on the water together. That’s the Eagle 6 way.”
— Stacey Corn  ·  Colonel (Ret.)  ·  Founder
Veterans on the water with Eagle 6 Adventures
Veteran-Led. Always.

Founded and led by a retired Army Colonel with 34 years of service. We don’t guess what veterans need — we’ve lived it.

100% Free. No Exceptions.

Every trip, every experience, every piece of equipment — completely free to veterans, first responders, Gold Star Families, and youth. No application. No means test.

Water as the Therapist.

We don’t run clinics or hand out worksheets. We put veterans on the water and let blue space therapy do what science says it does.

Families Welcome.

Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. We bring families together on the water because the people who love veterans carry wounds too.

No Rank. No Hierarchy.

Out on the water, there are no titles and no politics. Just people who served, united by shared experience and the quiet of Charlotte Harbor.

Lean. Transparent. Accountable.

Every dollar donated goes directly to trips, gear, and experiences. We operate as a 501(c)(3) so the mission — not overhead — gets funded.

★   In Memory

We Run for Those Who Can’t.

Every trip on the water is dedicated to those who gave everything. Eagle 6 Adventures honors the fallen — their sacrifice is the reason we show up.
